Subject: Doubt about coding style
Hi there all
I'm not very sure about the way of doing the hand corrections on the Wright's Grammar of the Gothic Language. I don't mean encoding special characters -not yet-, but simply the general style of doing the thing.
What's better in your opinion, to do some HTML to make the corrected page as similar to the original OCR'ed page as possible, or just typing the relevant text taking care of not losing contrast and such?
For example, it would be helpful for me to know if the result of my hand correction should look similar to the already corrected glossary pages (302-358). As I'm familiar with HTML, following that way wouldn't mean a lot of extra job for me, and I think the result is better. But maybe you think it's better to keep as similar to the original pages as possible (by centering text in the a0001.html, a0002.html files, for example, or introducing breaks in the right points in a0003.html).
Please let me know your opinions on this! :)
Also, I found a pair of details that may need to be corrected in pages referring to this grammar:
1. In http://www.ling.upenn.edu/~kurisuto/germanic/goth_wright_about.html#images
in the line following the "Page Images and OCR'ed Text" title, when referring to the glossary pages, it should be (302-358) instead of (302-258).
2. File
http://penguin.pearson.swarthmore.edu/~scrist1/scanned_books/html/goth_wright/b0358.html
is lacking some HTML tags in the end of the document (for example, the links to the GLP main page).
Thank you and best regards,
Raul
