Subject: Entry format
I wanted to know what people's preferences were for entry formats.
Many I see are as so (paying much attention to the uses of semicolons and commas):
, , nom. , acc. ; pl. dat.;
One might say that it varies from language to language which might be true for long definitions but for my purposes, a simple definition and word forms would suffice.
One might also add that the format depends on the amount of data, hence a simplified format such as:
, .
Another issue is the standards of abbreviations, sm. verses sg. m. verses sing. masc.. When is an abbreviation too abbreviated? Are there any standards?
Thank you for any help you might give me.
