Subject: Headwords in Cleasby/Vigfusson have been completed
The headword portion of the entries in Cleasby/Vigfusson have been hand-corrected for the entire dictionary. This is a major milestone in the Cleasby/Vigfusson project.
The current version reflects these corrections. This version is the one now being indexed in the Search system, and the file of the entire text can be downloaded thru the "Texts" page (click "Texts" tab above and scroll down to "Old Icelandic").
Pages 50-649 were corrected by Bronwyn Woods. This portion of the project used up the last bit of funding from the American Scandinavian Foundation, which funded the scanning and OCR of the text. I did pages 650-769 myself. Pages 1-50 did not need to have their headwords corrected since the entire pages had already been corrected by volunteers.
Please report any remaining errors which you find in the headwords.
