About The meaning of Brok.
According to you (and other different sources), Brok is meaning black-grass. All right.
My problem is that black-grass is not a french entry and that I need to be more accurate on that.
In fact, "black-grass" in English, apparently designates two different plants :
- Juncus Gerardii (a rush)
- Alopecurus myosuroides (a vulpine).
It's said in Erik the Red's saga that Erik spent a winter on Brokey, in Breidafjordur. Brokey --> Brok ey --> black grass island. That sounds nice in English, but not relevant in French (or any other language).
Do you know more about Brok ?
