Subject: Headwords and page headers in Bosworth/Toller

There are two area of major progress in the Bosworth/Toller project.

In spring/summer 2005, Sarah Hartman and Finlay Logan corrected all of the entry headwords in the 1921 supplement of Bosworth/Toller. This was a major task and a big move forward.

Thomas McFadden corrected the page headers for the entire dictionary, both the 1302 page original volume and the 768 page supplement. The page header is the line at the top of the page which tells you the first and last headword on the page. This was another big job and another big step forward.

Before I could integrate these corrections into the text, there were a few things I had to get sorted out. This is done now: both sets of corrections are now integrated into the current version. The corrections are reflected are in the downloadable version and in the web-based searchable version. This also means fewer corrections left to go for the volunteers who are correcting a page at a time.

Thanks to everybody for their ongoing hard work on this shared project!
