Ah, I see what you're talking about. The "I" is in big caps, but the rest of the word is in small caps.

I guess if we want to do this properly, we'd have to start tagging these like I<SMALL>NTERCHANGE</SMALL>.

On the other hand, if the number of small caps words is relatively small, it might make sense to just type the words in all caps for now (whether or not the first letter is big), and later make a pass thru the dictionary after the major hand corrections to somehow mark which smallcap words have a larger initial letter, and which ones don't. Leaving this until later would help keep the instructions simpler.

I really don't like the I<SMALL>NTERCHANGE</SMALL> markup very much, because it makes it really hard for a program to recognize the word "interchange" (e.g. in a search). You'd have to do some preprocessing for pretty much every program. There must be a better way to indicate this.

Anyone know how this distinction is marked in other texts?
