Subject: Wright's glossary of Gothic

This evening I finally sat down for a few hours and wrote a DTD (document type definition) for the XML version of the glossary to Wright's grammar of Gothic. The XML file now validates, finally.

I had done 95% of the XML markup of the glossary back in 2000, but I never got around to finishing the job, partly because I didn't yet know how to write a DTD at the time, and partly also because there are some annoying exceptions to the general structure of the glossary. This evening I wrote the DTD, and came up with some way of handling each of the irregularities.

The HTML versions of the glossary have been automatically regenerated from the base XML document.

So, anyway, that's one more job done. Later I'll do the same thing to the not-quite-XML version of the glossary to Bright's grammar of Old English, and add both of glossaries to the Search database so that these completed texts can be searched.
