This is normal. Cleasby/Vigfusson is a long way from being finished, and we're nowhere near the stage of joining entries broken by page breaks. For now, you can use the "previous entry" and "next entry" links to conveniently view the consecutive pieces of a broken entry.
The correction system allows you to check out an individual page so that you can correct it. We have to keep the entries broken for now, so that the piece of text which you're correcting corresponds to one scanned page image. The joining of entries which are broken across page breaks comes near the very end of the process, after all the hand corrections are done.
