Subject: Welcome to the Germanic Lexicon Project
On 1 Sept 2004, the Indo-European Language Resources page became the Germanic Lexicon Project.
In addition to a major user interface overhaul, the major new features include:
- An improved search system, which now allows searches for multiple words, among other new features
- A message board where you can post about the early Germanic languages or about digitizing historical linguistic materials.
- The ability for you to add your own notes "in the margin" of the online dictionaries
- There is now a web-based system which allows volunteers to correct the errors on a dictionary page. The major present goal is to correct the online versions of Bosworth/Toller's dictionary of Old English (original text and supplement volume), and Cleasby/Vigfusson's dictionary of Old Icelandic. Click the Volunteer tab above for more information.
There are many other features. Please explore around, and ask on this message board about anything which is unclear.
