Jeff,
Most of the search results have not yet been hand-corrected. In the bar above each search result, it says whether that entry has been corrected or not. If the entry hasn't been corrected, you can click on the [TIFF] or [PNG] link; so you can easily compare the online text against the original page to see whether they match.
I'm sorry to report that all three of the instances of "uc" are errors. They don't match the original page, and they will be corrected whenever someone volunteers to correct those particular pages. For example, in the first of the three results, "uc" should be corrected to "ic".
