Subject: Sumar-höll
Hello, I am greatly interested in the Icelandic word sumar-höll. I have found the following entry in An Icelandic-English Dictionary by Cleasby/Vigfusson (1874): sumar-höll, f. a summer palace, Fms. ix. 372, x. 162.
Are there any significant references to "sumar-höll" in Icelandic history and/or Norse mythologyand lore? The dictionary entry seem to have a reference indicated by "Fms." but I have not been able to find this abbreviation defined in the dictionary.
Any help in these directions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Andre
