This is a margin comment on: Torp, page b0407, entry 7
Where am I wrong? I don't dispute your point about homonyms, but I believe Torp meant to write "weak" (not "week") after weich, biegsam, gering. This was the only point I was making.

> I believe you're wrong. Some of these are comparisons, as in wice (witch elm), which have homonyms (wice, wike, etc.) of many meanings. Wicker, for instance, can mean wicker, seer, or what have you. Notably wice for witch elm is pronounced "wicker" by farmers in North England, so there is a lot of criss-crossing.
