Actually, I know of four separate efforts going on around Cleasby/Vigfusson, including the one here and the Northvegr project. We've all been talking over email.
I accepted some time ago that multiple efforts often pop up around a single text. A text isn't anybody's turf; I just try to adapt my own strategy rationally to the reality of multiple efforts. If someone else corrects part of Cleasby/Vigfusson, I see that corrected text a resource. I make it my job to unify the various chunks of data, so that the result is as homogeneous as if a single team had produced it.
Progress is moving along on Cleasby/Vigfusson. This year I had a small amount of funding to pay a student to go thru and correct all of the headwords. That part of the project is within a whisker of being finished.
