Subject: Weiha
Your "Gothic" glossary includes the word "weiha" (priest). I'm interested in knowing how this is (or might have been) pronounced, and what the adjectival form (as in "ordained," not "holy") should be.
Is this term connected to Old English "wice" or "wike" (as in officer), or "weca" (as in one who is awakened)?
Thank you.
Curt
