iO2 Accidence [§§218-20 nom. sing, was a new formation with -a- from the inflected forms, cp. Lat. ferēnsfrom *ferenss older *ferents(§138); ace. frijōnd from *frijōnđun, dat. frljōnđ from *frijōnđi; nom. pi. frijōnds from 'frijōndiz, which was also used for the accusative.
