A. STRONG VERBS.
§ 285. We are able to conjugate a strong verb in Gothic when we know the four stems, as seen (ι) in the infinitive, to which belong all forms of the present, (2) the stem of the preterite singular, (3) the stem of the preterite plural, to which also belongs the whole of the preterite subjunctive, (4) the stem of the past participle.
§ 286. The conjugation of níman, to take, and háitan, to call, will serve as models for all strong verbs.
